ETICS/CAPOTO SYSTEM

The ETICS system (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) is an external thermal insulation system also known as “capoto”. It is widely used in construction and has advantages in the case of buildings with insufficient thermal insulation, leaks or a degraded appearance. In addition, it can reduce the risk of condensation by treating and solving thermal bridges.
It is made up of expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS), cork or stone wool plates, fixed to the outside of the wall using glue and mechanical fixings.
